Dipping Your Finger Into Someone Else's Honey Pot

Something I've found a great deal of enjoyment doing since I got my iPod Shuffle at WWDC is to just hook it up to someone else's computer and set the iTunes to autofill onto my Shuffle from the other person's music collection. It's sort of like forcing your friend to make you a mix tape without them having to do anything. (note that mix tapes are still special and will never be fully replaced) But it's definitely tons of fun walking home from a buddy's place and playing the "I wonder what's coming next' game. And having thoughts dawn on you like "wow Blind Melon really had a lot of songs" or "Elliott Smith needs to cheer the fuck up."

The randomness of the Shuffle is cranked up 6 notches when you not only not know what song will be next but instead you don't even know what songs could potentially be on there. So now you can live in someone else's musical world for a while. As soon as Apple invents a way to be able to eat your friend's food and have sex with his girlfriend they'll be able to market 'identity sampling', which would be to identity theft what their 'rip, mix, burn' (video/quicktime) campaign was to music theft.
