From the Jargon File's appendices, A Portrait of J. Random Hacker. A pretty interesting outline of the key personality traits common to 'hackers' (in the proper, positive sense of the term) gathered from within the community of self-identifying hackers themselves. As with any such generalization it really doesn't fit any one particular person, but I found I identified with quite a bit of it. The Jargon File is itself a fun binge-reading session.
