Kiss and make up

Square and I have had a rocky relationship as of late. Her delivering 32-bit Sony pablum and me calling her an 8-bit pablum pushing whore. But all is good once again. Well, all _will_ be good September 8th. It's a little ways off. But I can assure you, I'm doing "the happy dance" in my chair right now.

MR. Greg:

A few questions:

1) When are you leaving for PEI?

2) when are you going back to NB?

3) Is your phone # the same as it was before joined the trailer park boys?

4) To number a book from 1 up to its last page took 552 digits. How many pages are there in the book?

Yo G,

I'm game anyday you are. Question is, what day are you coming? Or are you going to wimp out on me?

I'm checking my record from last year:
Reaction Time: 1.154 s
60 ft. : 2.452 s
1/8 Mi : 10.461 s
1/4 Mi : 16.264 s
1/4 MPH : 83.91 MPH

Sorry, the computer doesn't track 0-60.

My reaction time is bad as I was spinning off the line. . . . that and it was bad that day anyways. I hoping to be better with the Christmas Tree this time around.

According to Mark, Tuesday is the import race all you want night for $20.00. Saturday is more muscle cars. . . . $50.00 for Saturday/Sunday. Greg, that basically means, do you want to be out-of-pocket $20.00 or $50.00 along with the pink slip to you car? :-)

Will be going to PEI this weekend for the festival of lights concert. (Blue Rodeo, nikelback, etc) Not planning on telling my supervizor about this little plan to be away for 3 or 4 days, but since he's been doing a disappearing act himself lately I don't feel too guilty.

Meanwhile the music scene in Fredericton drops off like a prom dress in the Summer months :P Unless, of course, you're into "Generic Halifax Bar Band that will Definitely Play Barret's Privateers Before the End of the Night". I've seen those guy by accident like 3 times so far.

Trust me Gregory, next time you see the beautiful baby. Show her how money you are.

You know what you are? You're like a big bear with claws and with fangs ... and she's just like this little bunny, who's just kinda cowering in the corner ... you know, you got these claws and you're staring at these claws and your thinking to yourself, and with these claws you're thinking, 'How am I supposed to kill this bunny, how am I supposed to kill this bunny?' And you're poking at it, you're poking at it ... you're not hurting it. You're just kinda gently batting the bunny around, you know what I mean? And the bunny's scared, Greg, the bunny's scared of you, shivering. And you got these fucking claws and these fangs, man! And you're looking at your claws and you're looking at your fangs. And you're thinking to yourself, you don't know what to do, man. 'I don't know how to kill the bunny.'

Listen to me. Now lookit, when you go up to talk to her, man, I don't want you to be the guy in the PG-13 movie everyone's really hopin' makes it happen. I want you to be like the guy in the rated R movie, you know? The guy you're not sure whether or not you like yet. You're not sure where he's comin' from ,okay? You're a bad man, you're a bad man, you're a bad man!

Get the digits Greg cuz we're goin ta Vegas.

From tha Snoop Doggy Blog

Snoop recently unveiled his custom Snoop DeVille and speculation runs rampant that the car's special features will be incorporated into a new line of Cadillacs. But according to a Cadillac spokesperson, the car Snoop has is a customized version of a base model Cadillac DeVille. Roderick Harvey who worked with Snoop and The Memphis Cadillac Center to custom build the Snoop DeVille contends that "The car will be sold to whoever wants to buy the car" and "several people have already placed orders for the car, including Nelly, Puff Daddy, and Ja Rule."

Riddle Me This

Myself and my friend the girl who searches for her own name on google too much are the current record-holders of this riddle that's been going around the CS faculty for the last few days, we've each managed to do it in 10 minutes.

Here is something to try when you have a little time to kill....
I think it's a MENSA quiz? ..

There are 5 houses in 5 different colours. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:
The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green homeowner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes dunhill.
The man living in the centre house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

Einstein wrote this riddle this century. He said 98% of the world could
not solve it.

Seems I missed the video game debate. . . . time just flies when you're trying to do work. I don't want to open that can of worms again, I just want to say: Video games are for entertainment. If you don't like a game, don't play it. Considering how much money is being poured into game development, it would be nice to see more of that money go towards developing different/innovative games. . . but that's not my money. That said, I was thinking of starting a company making video games. . . . anyone want to make a difference in to game industry?

I've been spending some time researching some computer parts, I've been helping a friend piece a computer together. With computer components the way they are today, especially processors, the difference between a poor or great computer is definitely the motherboard. It absolutely dictates what a computer can do with the parts you have as well as the parts you can have down the road. Also how well the computer will run with the parts is drastically affected. Get a good mainboard and the rest of the parts are trivial.

Anyone seen benchmarks for the Savage 8 video chipset or how it compares to the GeForce 2/4 MX?

Lord Huggington

A New Remedy for the Economic Blues -- Hugging
Tue June 3, 2003 09:47 AM ET
TOKYO (Reuters) - A middle-aged holy woman from India has come up with a remedy for Japan's economic blues that has escaped even the most astute politician -- give everyone a hug.
For the past three days, thousands of Japanese have flocked to a hall in Tokyo for a loving embrace from Ammachi, a woman from India's southern state of Kerala on the Japan leg of her world hugging tour.

A hug from Ammachi, short for Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, is said to bring happiness -- something that many Japanese feel is in short supply as the nation's economic slide throws more people out of work and cuts into their savings.

All this week, people have been lining up patiently outside Ammachi's carpeted room, breathing in the incense-filled air and listening to strains of Hindu devotional songs.

"Japan is suffering from deflation and I think there are a lot of people who want to be helped," said one businessman, who had already been hugged twice.

"I don't think so many people would come here if the economy were better."

Hugging is not a common custom in Japan and many people were overcome by emotion when embraced.

"When you watch the news or read the newspaper, there are so many depressing things, but that's not all there is in the world. That's what I felt when she embraced me," said housewife Teruko Nakamura as she dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief.

The 51-year-old holy woman attributed the emotion to nothing more than a lack of love in the modern world
